New Delhi: On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated over 14,000 initiatives valued at over ₹10 trillion in Uttar Pradesh. Unveiled during the Uttar Pradesh Global Investors Summit in Lucknow, these projects encompass diverse sectors such as manufacturing, renewable energy, IT & ITeS, food processing, housing, real estate, hospitality, entertainment, and education.

In his speech in Lucknow, Modi conveyed a vision of advancement, emphasizing that this initiative represents a noteworthy step towards fostering a thriving Uttar Pradesh as a pivotal element for “Viksit Bharat,” signifying a developed India. The goal is to bring about a transformative change in the state’s landscape.

Emphasizing Uttar Pradesh’s emerging status as a tourism hub, Modi highlighted the increasing appeal of Varanasi and Ayodhya as premier destinations attracting a myriad of visitors. According to the prime minister, this upswing in tourism is poised to open up extensive opportunities for local entrepreneurs, airlines, and the hospitality sector within the state.

PM Modi underscored Uttar Pradesh’s improved connectivity at local, national, and international levels, underscoring the inauguration of the world’s longest river cruise from Varanasi. He predicted that the upcoming Kumbh Mela in 2025 would be a significant economic boost, creating numerous job opportunities in the tourism and hospitality sectors.

In his address to food processing entrepreneurs, Modi championed the “zero effect, zero defect” philosophy, urging a collective effort to position Indian food products on global dining tables. The prime minister highlighted the surging popularity of millets as a superfood and encouraged investment in this segment, advocating for partnerships between entrepreneurs and farmers. He emphasized support for small-scale farmers through Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) and cooperative societies, envisioning a future where agricultural progress aligns with business growth.

Addressing the audience, the prime minister stressed the mutual benefit of agricultural prosperity for both farmers and businesses, highlighting the interconnectedness of the two.

Reflecting on Uttar Pradesh’s significant role in India’s rural and agricultural economy, PM Modi urged stakeholders to capitalize on the available opportunities. Expressing confidence in the state’s populace and the collaborative efforts of the “double-engine government,” he envisioned a foundation for comprehensive progress.
