Kankaria Carnival 2024: The Kankaria Carnival, scheduled from December 25 to December 31, has prompted the city police to issue a notification implementing traffic restrictions to ensure smooth vehicular movement.

Parking will only be allowed in designated zones, with no parking, stopping, or U-turns permitted in specified areas.

As per the notification, vehicles other than two-wheelers are prohibited from stopping on roads connecting Kankaria police chowky, the Railway yard, Khokhra Bridge, Dedki Garden, Siddhi Vinayak Hospital crossroads, Apsara Cinema crossroads, the Football Ground, and Lohana Mahajanvadi.

The entire two-lane road encircling Kankaria Lake has been declared a no U-turn zone.

Additionally, passenger and goods vehicles, already restricted from entering city limits until 10 PM, will face further restrictions, being barred from operation between 8 PM and 1 AM during the carnival.
