A Satellite-based businessman filed a complaint with the Satellite police on Monday, alleging fraud and breach of contract in a ₹12.88 crore bus transaction.

Komal Patel (46), a travel business operator from Satellite, accused Pravinaba Gohil of Ganesh Tours and Travels, Bopal, of failing to fulfill a financial agreement concerning 33 buses.

According to Patel, he originally owned 40 buses in 2018 and agreed to sell 33 of them to Gohil for ₹6.60 crore. As per the agreement, Gohil was responsible for financial obligations, including RTO tax, bank loan installments, and insurance, before ownership transfer. Patel also permitted Gohil to use his Vision Travels’ Axis Bank account for transactions.

Despite taking possession of the buses on December 1, 2018, Gohil allegedly defaulted on payments, resulting in outstanding bank loan notices against Patel. After several discussions, Gohil signed a notarized agreement on December 2, 2021, promising to clear all dues within nine months. While Gohil initially paid around ₹1.5 crore, Patel claims he eventually stopped payments over the past year.

Patel alleged that Gohil defaulted on approximately ₹3.5 crore in RTO taxes, ₹2.78 crore in personal loans, and the full ₹6.6 crore bus sale amount, bringing the total outstanding dues to around ₹12.88 crore. He also claimed that Gohil refused to return the 33 buses.

Citing breach of trust and financial fraud, Patel filed a formal complaint seeking legal action. In response, the Satellite police registered a case under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for breach of trust and cheating and initiated an investigation.
