Ahmedabad Holika Dahan Rule: The festival of Holi is now just a few days away. In this regard, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has made a significant decision for those who light Holi fires outside societies and on roads. The reason behind this decision is that Holika Dahan on roads causes damage to them. Therefore, certain precautions must be taken before lighting Holi fires on roads.

    Rule to Prevent Road Damage

According to the municipal corporation’s regulations, each ward and zone will provide bricks and sand to societies. Before lighting the Holi fire, societies must spread these bricks and sand on the road. This measure will help prevent damage to the roads caused by Holika Dahan. Notably, the corporation will supply the sand and bricks free of charge, and the required quantity will be provided as per the societies’ requests.

    Auspicious Time for Holika Dahan

The festival of Holi will be celebrated on March 13 (Thursday) during the full moon of the Shukla Paksha in the month of Phagun. The auspicious time for Holika Dahan is from 11:26 AM to 12:30 PM on March 13, with a total duration of 1 hour and 4 minutes.
