    Donald Trump Tariff News:

On Wednesday, U.S. President Donald Trump announced a significant tariff on automobile imports. The White House informed that Trump has imposed a 25% tariff on foreign-manufactured vehicles. This decision could create turmoil in the auto sector, as Trump’s sudden move may increase tensions with trade partners.

Tariff to Take Effect from April 2

Speaking at the White House, Trump stated, “We are going to impose a 25% tariff on cars that are not manufactured in the United States. However, vehicles built in the U.S. will not be subject to this tariff. My decision will take effect from April 2.” He further clarified that this new tariff will be in addition to the existing tariffs on foreign cars and light trucks.

    European Union Expresses Discontent

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen strongly criticized Trump’s announcement of a 25% tariff on all auto imports. In a statement, she expressed deep disappointment over the U.S. decision to impose tariffs on European automotive exports. She emphasized that the European Union will continue negotiations to resolve the dispute while protecting its economic interests.
