In Halol, Panchmahal, torrential rains began around 1 PM on Tuesday. In just four hours, 6 inches of rain poured down, flooding large areas of the town and turning many low-lying areas into waterlogged zones. Woman Drowns in Floodwaters:
The water flow from the Yamuna Canal near Pavagadh surged, and a 50‑year‑old woman sitting in a cabin near the Badshah Bawa Dargah was swept away along with the structure. After an intensive search, she was found a short distance away and rushed to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Main Roads Flooded:
Several main roads — including Pavagadh Road, Bombay House Trijunction, the Bus Stand area, Arad Road, Jyoti Circle, Halol‑Pavagadh Bypass Road, and the Dawda area — were inundated with knee‑to‑waist‑deep water.
