Ayodhya: Yesterday, the recently crafted idol of Lord Ram found its place within Ayodhya‘s Ram Temple in anticipation of the consecration ceremony scheduled for Monday. The unveiling of the first photograph, shared this morning by Union Minister Shobha Karandlaje, showcases the deity in the form of a five-year-old child standing gracefully. Crafted from black stone by the skilled hands of Mysuru-based artist Arun Yogiraj, the 51-inch idol is a testament to intricate craftsmanship.

Amid the resonating chants of prayers, the Ram Lalla idol found its place in the sanctum sanctorum. The rituals for the temple consecration commenced on January 12, and on January 22, Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to perform the puja for the “Pran Pratistha.” Sources reveal that a team of priests, led by Lakshmikant Dixit, will oversee the primary rituals of the Pran Prathistha.

Prior to his participation in the consecration ceremony, the Prime Minister is diligently adhering to a set of rules and rituals. It is reported that he has chosen to sleep on the floor with only a blanket and is consuming only coconut water.

In consideration of the event, Prime Minister Modi has requested the public not to visit Ayodhya on January 22 to avoid causing any disruptions to the ceremony dedicated to Lord Ram. He emphasized that everyone is welcome to visit starting January 23. Additionally, he has encouraged every Indian to light a diya in their homes on January 22, contributing to the auspiciousness of the occasion.

The consecration ceremony is set to be witnessed by more than 11,000 guests hailing from various parts of the country and abroad. These individuals have received special invitations extended by the temple trust for this significant event.
