Ahmedabad News: Indian Railways has started operating the Non-AC Amrit Bharat Express. One such train has already arrived in Ahmedabad. According to reports, the train is currently undergoing trial runs, which include speed and load tests, as well as the first-ever trial of the newly installed EP (Electro-Pneumatic) brake system.

Train from Ahmedabad to Varanasi:
Sources indicate that the Amrit Bharat Express between Ahmedabad and Varanasi may start operating by Diwali. The final decision on the train’s route will be taken by the Railway Board in the coming days.

What makes this train special?
Normally, the journey from Ahmedabad to Varanasi takes 28–30 hours. However, this train, running at an average speed of 120–130 km/h, can cover the distance in 22–24 hours. The Amrit Bharat Express consists of 20 LHB coaches on each side and engines at both ends, allowing it to run at a maximum speed of 160–180 km/h without needing to change engines.

The train is equipped with EP brakes, which significantly reduce stopping distance compared to traditional air brakes. All coaches’ brakes engage simultaneously, allowing the train to stop safely over a shorter distance without any jolt.
