Cabinet Meeting Led by PM Modi Approves ₹25,060 Crore for Export Promotion Mission
A cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi was held today (November 12). The meeting began with a tribute to the victims of the Delhi blast, after which the government took several major decisions aimed at boosting India’s economic growth and global competitiveness.
₹25,060 Crore Approved for Export Promotion Mission
Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw briefed the media after the meeting, stating that the cabinet has approved an ‘Export Promotion Mission’ worth ₹25,060 crore. Under this mission, India will be developed as a global manufacturing and export hub, benefiting small and medium enterprises. The initiative aims to simplify and make export processes more competitive.

Major Decisions in Favour of Exporters
Ashwini Vaishnaw further announced that under the ‘Exporters Guarantee Scheme’, a provision of ₹20,000 crore has been made to provide financial security to exporters and reduce risks in international trade.
He also informed that an amendment to the Critical Minerals Act has been approved. This will help ensure the availability of strategic minerals crucial for the electronics, defence, and green energy sectors.
The central government stated that these decisions will strengthen India’s economic self-reliance and give further momentum to the ‘Make in India’ and ‘Vocal for Local’ initiatives.
Tribute to Victims of Delhi Blast
The meeting also paid homage to the victims of the terrorist blast near Red Fort in Delhi that occurred on the evening of November 10. The explosion shook the national capital, claiming 12 lives.
Given the gravity of the incident, PM Modi chaired a special meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS), during which the cabinet passed a resolution condemning the attack and paying tribute to the victims. The government described the blast as a heinous act of terrorism, vowing to identify and take swift action against the perpetrators.
Earlier, PM Modi visited LNJP Hospital in Delhi to meet those injured in the attack.
