The GI Tag granted by the Government of India now provides Ambaji Marble with legal protection and global recognition. This prestigious status further elevates its value, positioning it as a new symbol of Gujarat on the world map. During a ceremony organized by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the GI certificate was formally presented to Banaskantha’s geologist Gurpreet Singh by the Union Minister of Industry.
The registration for Ambaji Marble has been done under the name of the Ambaji Marbles Quarry and Factory Association. The Stone Artisan Park Training Institute (SAPTI), the Commissioner of Geology and Mining, and the Banaskantha Collector also played significant roles in this achievement.
