Fakt Purusho Maate: Indian cinema acting legend Amitabh Bachchan has filmed a cameo for the upcoming sequel “Fakt Purusho Maate.”
The Gujarati-language sequel follows the 2022 hit “Fakt Mahilao Maate,” in which Bachchan had a leading role. That film told the story of a young man who gains the ability to read women’s thoughts and uses this power to help with relationship issues.
The new film is a family drama addressing gender equality and generational conflicts. Bachchan, a revered figure in Indian cinema, will portray God, a role he previously played in “God Tussi Great Ho” (2008).
“Fakt Purusho Maate,” produced by Anand Pandit and Vaishal Shah and written and directed by Jay Bodas and Parth Trivedi, features Yash Soni, Mitra Gadhvi, Esha Kansara, and Darshan Jariwala.
Pandit, who produced “Chehre” (2021) starring Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi, commented on Bachchan’s involvement: “We filmed with Mr. Bachchan on June 6. Everyone was awestruck by his energy, dedication, legendary professionalism, and larger-than-life presence. He was special in ‘Fakt Mahilao Maate,’ and it’s hard to imagine a project without him. Anyone who works with him once wants to work with him again.”
Shah added: “Mr. Bachchan’s role is central to the story of ‘Fakt Purusho Maate.’ His enduring stardom is a phenomenon, and this film will showcase why he remains a legend.”
Bachchan is currently in “The Umesh Chronicles,” which is on the festival circuit. He is also one of the leads in the sci-fi epic “Kalki 2898 AD,” set to release on June 27.
“Fakt Purusho Maate” is scheduled to release towards the end of August, coinciding with the Janmashtami holiday.
