Panchayat Season 3 Review:Panchayat” Season 3 on Amazon Prime is as gripping as its predecessors, with politics taking center stage. The season picks up seamlessly from where it left off, dispelling any doubts we had about its quality. The show’s strength lies in its witty, clever dialogues and its enduring simplicity.

    Language: Hindi
    Director: Deepak Kumar Mishra
Cast: Jitendra Kumar, Raghubir Yadav, Neena Gupta, Sanvikaa, Chandan Roy, Faisal Malik, Durgesh Kumar, Sunita Rajwar, Pankaj Jha

Like the previous seasons, “Panchayat 3” blends humor with serious issues, maintaining authenticity in its setting and performances. Each actor stays true to their character, and the series allows them to evolve naturally, ensuring their essence is preserved.

The Amazon Prime Video India Original follows Abhishek Tripathi’s (Jitendra Kumar) journey, who returns to Phulera after a sudden transfer. Season 3 begins with the new Sachiv attempting to take over Abhishek’s position by breaking a lock, but this plan fails when the Vidhayak is arrested for killing and eating a dog. Thus, Abhishek returns to Phulera with renewed enthusiasm. The unique dialogues, performances, and plot make “Panchayat” special.

The show continues to capture the essence of village life with its authentic characters and issues, such as bad roads and housing for the poor. The second season ended with the tragic death of Rahul, an army man and the son of deputy chief Prahlad (Faisal Malik). Season 3 explores Prahlad’s grief and coping mechanisms.

Manju Devi (Neena Gupta) has evolved significantly, becoming more involved in politics and Panchayat matters, no longer letting her husband make all the decisions. The storytelling is crisp and engaging, with no dull moments. The location, dialect, and characters feel genuine, allowing viewers to connect deeply with their roles. The show also includes humor in its depiction of minor violence.

Written by Chandan Kumar, the show adeptly portrays the nuances of village life through its quirky characters and unique problems. Every character, including Bhusan (Durgesh Kumar) and his followers Vinod and Madhav, plays an important role.

Even if you missed the previous two seasons, “Panchayat” Season 3 is easy to follow, thanks to references to past events. The ongoing rivalries and conflicts, particularly between Bhushan and the village Sachiv, and the tension with the local MLA, keep the drama intense and hint at a fourth season. The series never gets boring, keeping viewers engaged throughout.
