    Ayodhya: Ayodhya, the sacred temple town, is poised for a comprehensive infrastructure overhaul amounting to Rs 15,700 crore. This transformative initiative encompasses the inauguration of the Maharishi Valmiki International Airport Ayodhya Dham and the redevelopment of the railway station.
    Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the city marks the commencement of various projects, strategically timed weeks ahead of the grand consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple scheduled for January 22.

    During his four-hour visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to launch and lay foundation stones for 46 infrastructure projects, with a total cost of ₹15,700 crore. These projects include beautified roads, a medical college, the Ayodhya bypass, a solid waste treatment plant, and five parking and commercial facilities. The Prime Minister expressed the government’s commitment to developing world-class infrastructure, improving connectivity, and preserving the rich heritage of Ayodhya.
    In a post, he emphasized the significance of inaugurating the newly constructed airport and redeveloped railway station, along with initiating and laying the foundation stone for several other development projects aimed at enhancing the quality of life in Ayodhya and other areas of the country, including Uttar Pradesh.

    The Ayodhya airport, constructed at a cost of ₹1,450 crore, is scheduled to commence operations on January 6, anticipating an annual service of nearly 10 lakh passengers. This strategic air connectivity will facilitate devotees’ travel to the Ram Temple following its consecration.
    The redeveloped railway station, now named Ayodhya Dham Junction, stands as a three-storey facility complete with food plazas and waiting rooms. The overall cost of this redevelopment amounts to ₹240 crore. These infrastructural enhancements contribute significantly to Ayodhya’s accessibility and amenities for both pilgrims and visitors.

    The Prime Minister is set to inaugurate several key projects during his visit to Ayodhya, including:

    1. Ayodhya Airport:
      • A state-of-the-art facility constructed at a cost of nearly ₹1,450 crore.
    2. Amrit Bharat and Vande Bharat Trains:
      • Introduction of two new Amrit Bharat trains and six Vande Bharat trains.
    3. Ayodhya Dham Junction Railway Station:
      • Redeveloped Ayodhya Railway Station, now named Ayodhya Dham Junction, constructed at a cost of ₹240 crore.

    These inaugurated projects aim to enhance transportation infrastructure and connectivity in Ayodhya, contributing to the overall development of the region.
