Ahmedabad: A 16-year-old girl died after being hit by a car allegedly driven by a minor boy in Ahmedabad, police reported on Monday.
On May 31, the girl was struck by a Toyota Fortuner SUV while crossing the road in the busy Thaltej area. Eyewitnesses stated that the vehicle was speeding.
Despite being rushed to the hospital with serious injuries, the girl died during treatment.
The 17-year-old driver was beaten by locals at the scene of the accident.
Police have registered a case against the driver’s brother and father, as the SUV belonged to his brother.
