The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) is aiming to optimize its resources by leasing its sports facilities to private operators, starting with the Nikol skating rink.

The AMC is seeking bids from experienced sports agencies and coaching institutes to manage and operate the rink.

A senior AMC official mentioned, “This is just the beginning. We plan to extend this model to other skating rinks being developed in the city.”
