Ahmedabad: The second phase of the Metro rail, which connects Motera to Mahatma Mandir, is anticipated to be operational by the end of this month. The Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) has completed an inspection of part of the route. However, the section from Mahatma Mandir to GIFT City is still under construction and will not be operational before the end of the year, as work on two stations along this route remains incomplete.
The Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation has addressed the observations made by the CMRS and is carrying out the necessary work. A compliance report will be submitted soon, and after receiving final approval from the CMRS, the route will become operational, according to a senior Metro official.
