On his birthday, PM Modi visited Odisha to launch several initiatives, including 26 lakh PM Awas houses at Gadakana in Bhubaneswar under the Subhadra Yojana. According to Bhubaneswar Police Commissioner Sanjeev Panda, PM Modi, upon arriving at the Bhubaneswar airport, proceeded to the Gadakana slum area near the Sainik School. During this visit, he interacted with beneficiaries of the PM Awas scheme.
At Janta Maidan, PM Modi also launched the Subhadra Yojana, aiming to provide financial assistance to at least one crore women. Under this scheme, each beneficiary will receive Rs 50,000 over five years, with Rs 10,000 disbursed in two annual installments.
