Ahmedabad: World Environment Day will be celebrated on Wednesday with the theme ‘Land Restoration, Desertification, and Drought Resilience’. In the city, various organizations and NGOs will host activities such as nature trails and competitions, including elocution and painting.

At the Centre for Environment Education (CEE), children will participate in seed ball making, a pottery workshop, street plays, a theatre performance, and a quiz on soil conservation.

Similarly, Science City will kick off the Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) Summer Camp for young researchers.

“The event, running from June 5 to 7, will involve 250 participants, including research students, PhD scholars, young faculty members, and research scientists. Focus areas will include health, emerging technologies, and social issues,” said an organizer.
