Ahmedabad: After two days of overcast skies, several regions of Gujarat are likely to experience rainfall on December 27 and 28.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), light showers are expected in districts including Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Panchmahal, Dahod, Mahisagar, Chhota Udepur, Narmada, Dangs, Navsari, Valsad, Tapi, and Kutch. These showers will be accompanied by light thunderstorms, lightning, and surface winds reaching speeds of 30-40 km/h in gusts.
While the rest of the region will remain dry, no significant changes in minimum temperatures are anticipated until Wednesday. However, the IMD predicts a gradual rise in minimum temperatures by 2-4°C from Thursday onward.
In Ahmedabad, partly cloudy skies are expected on Tuesday, with a minimum temperature of 18°C.
On Sunday, Naliya recorded the state’s lowest temperature at 7.2°C, followed by Bhuj at 12.4°C. Rajkot and Surendranagar logged 13°C, while Keshod, Amreli, Ahmedabad, and Gandhinagar recorded 13.9°C, 14.8°C, 17.6°C, and 16.4°C, respectively.
The highest maximum temperatures were observed in Vallabh Vidyanagar at 29.9°C and Vadodara at 28.4°C.
