Ahmedabad: The civic body’s standing committee has introduced a new initiative to encourage the use of multilevel parking facilities by offering a complimentary bus service. This service will be available from the Sindhu Bhavan Road (SBR) multilevel parking area and other similar parking sites throughout the city.

After parking their vehicles at SBR, citizens can enjoy a free ride on AMTS-BRTS buses for distances up to 3 kilometers. The aim is to alleviate traffic congestion and enhance city mobility.

The free bus service at SBR will be launched soon, with plans to extend similar services to other areas. In addition, the committee has announced the distribution of free dustbins to over 50,000 commercial units, expanding a program that previously only covered residential properties.
