IPL 2025 Ahmedabad: Match Schedule, Traffic Restrictions, and Metro Timings
Ahmedabad, Gujarat, is set to host several matches of IPL 2025 between March 25 and May 18, 2025. Today, on Tuesday, a match between Gujarat Titans and Punjab Kings will be played at Narendra Modi Stadium. To prevent traffic congestion in the city during IPL 2025 matches, the city’s traffic police have issued an official notice. The notice provides details about restricted routes, vehicle diversions, and alternative roads. Additionally, metro train timings have been adjusted for the matches.
Traffic Police in Action for IPL Matches
As today’s Gujarat Titans vs. Punjab Kings match takes place at Narendra Modi Stadium, the city’s traffic police have implemented strict measures. A total of 1 Joint Commissioner of Police (JCP), 3 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCP), 6 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACP), and 1,200 police personnel have been deployed for traffic management.
Traffic Restrictions and Alternative Routes
The road from Janpath T Junction to Motera Stadium Main Gate, passing through Krupa Residency T Junction to Motera Village, will be restricted for vehicle movement. However, vehicles can use alternative routes, including Tapovan Circle, ONGC Crossroad, Visat T Junction, Janpath T Junction, Power House Crossroad, and Prabodharaval Circle. Additionally, movement through Krupa Residency T Junction, Sharan Status Crossroad, Bhat Koteshwar Road, and Apollo Circle will also be allowed.
Changes in Metro Train Timings for IPL Matches
As some IPL 2025 matches in Ahmedabad will be day-night games, Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) has adjusted metro train timings. During IPL matches, metro services will operate from 6:20 AM to 12:30 AM (midnight).
