    IPL 2025 Closing Ceremony Highlights

The final match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 will be held on Tuesday, June 3, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. This marks the third time the IPL final is being hosted in the city, generating high excitement among cricket fans.

    Patriotic-Themed Closing Ceremony
The closing ceremony will be themed around patriotism under “Operation Sindoor.” Renowned singer Shankar Mahadevan will perform popular patriotic songs like “Maa Tujhe Salaam”, “Lakshya to Har Haal Mein Paana Hai”, “Sabse Aage Hain Hindustani”, and “I Love My India.” A laser show and a traditional Gujarati Garba performance are also planned. Bollywood celebrities like Akshay Kumar, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Abhishek Bachchan are expected to attend. Chiefs of India’s armed forces were also invited but are unlikely to attend.

    The Final Match & Entry
The final between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Punjab Kings will begin after the closing ceremony. Stadium gates open at 4:30 PM, with the ceremony starting at 6 PM. Over 85,000 tickets have been sold, with another 25,000 reserved. The stadium will be decorated in tricolor, with continuous messages of gratitude to the Indian Armed Forces displayed on large screens.

    Weather Forecast
Ahmedabad is expected to be cloudy, with light showers in some areas until 5 PM. Rain chances reduce significantly after 7 PM. However, high humidity might cause discomfort for the spectators.

    City-Wide Celebrations
Cafés and restaurants across Ahmedabad are making special arrangements, including large screens for fans to enjoy the match while dining. Several residential societies are also setting up big screens for community viewing.

    Issues Faced by Fans
There’s growing frustration over overpriced food and drinks at the stadium — water bottles being sold at ₹100, sandwiches at ₹200, pizzas over ₹400, and cold drinks at ₹100. Authorities have taken little to no action against this exploitation.

Online ticketing has also drawn criticism due to long queues and poor performance of the booking platform. Fans have expressed dissatisfaction, suggesting a portion of tickets be made available offline.

    Increased Air Traffic
Due to the final, charter flight activity at Ahmedabad airport is expected to double — from the usual 20 to nearly 40 movements. Airfares, particularly for Bengaluru to Ahmedabad, have surged past ₹26,000 one-way.
