Ahmedabad: Due to continuous rainfall in Dwarka throughout last week, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued further alerts on Monday for this coastal district, along with Jamnagar, Valsad, and the Union Territories of Daman and Dadra & Nagar Haveli. Yellow alerts for thunderstorms were also issued across Gujarat.
The IMD reported on Monday evening, “Monsoon was active over Saurashtra-Kutch. Heavy rainfall occurred at isolated places in Chhota Udepur, Junagadh, and Dwarka. Rainfall was widespread in South Gujarat and Saurashtra and occurred at isolated places in North Gujarat.”
In the coming week, light to moderate rain and thundershowers are expected in many places across all districts of North Gujarat, most places in all districts of South Gujarat, many places in all districts of Saurashtra, and many places in Kutch district.
