Deesa Fire: Tragic Fire in Firecracker Factory Claims 21 Lives, Major Revelations Surface
In Deesa, Banaskantha, a fire in a firecracker factory has tragically claimed the lives of 21 workers. The Gujarat government has so far handed over the bodies of 18 victims to their families. As investigations continue, shocking revelations are emerging regarding the incident. Initially, it was believed to be a firecracker warehouse, but now the victims’ families have disclosed crucial details. They allege that workers were brought from Madhya Pradesh to Gujarat specifically for making “sutli bombs” (a type of firecracker).
Bodies Sent Back to Madhya Pradesh
According to reports, after completing necessary formalities and post-mortem procedures, the bodies of 18 workers from Singhalpur, Madhya Pradesh, have been sent back to their hometown. Speaking to the media, the victims’ families revealed that the site of the incident was not just a warehouse, but an active firecracker manufacturing unit. They accused the authorities of misleading the public by labeling it as a warehouse. They reiterated that laborers from Madhya Pradesh were specifically brought in to manufacture explosive sutli bombs.
Aluminum Powder Supplied from Narol
Further investigations have uncovered more details regarding the illegal firecracker manufacturing. A mastermind from Narol, Ahmedabad, has come under scrutiny. According to sources, a person named Agrawal from Narol was responsible for supplying aluminum powder, a key ingredient in firecracker production. Shockingly, the factory was operating without any government approval, manufacturing explosives in broad daylight. Even after 21 lives were lost, the authorities have been accused of negligence.
Families Accuse Authorities of Mishandling the Bodies
Despite official announcements, grieving families continue to make serious allegations. They claim that the bodies of their loved ones were sent away without their consent. Some families, who had traveled to Gujarat to retrieve the bodies, were shocked to learn that they had already been sent to Madhya Pradesh without prior notice. This has led to widespread outrage, with families protesting outside Deesa Civil Hospital, demanding justice for the victims.
