    PM Modi in Srinagar Today: Jammu and Kashmir Police have heightened security measures in Srinagar ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming two-day visit starting Thursday. Here’s a summary of the key updates:

    1. Multi-Tier Security: According to IGP Kashmir Zone Vidhi Kumar Birdi, a multi-tier security arrangement has been established, with high-alert protocols in place.
    2. Temporary Red Zone for Drones: Srinagar police have declared the city a ‘Temporary Red Zone’ for drones and quadcopters, with penalties for unauthorized drone operations as per the Drone Rules, 2021.
    3. Youth Empowerment Event: PM Modi will arrive in Srinagar on Thursday and participate in the ‘Empowering Youth, Transforming J&K’ event at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC) at around 6 pm.
    4. Development Projects: The Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for multiple development projects, including the Competitiveness Improvement in Agriculture and Allied Sectors Project (JKCIP).
    5. Major Projects: PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation for 84 major projects worth over Rs. 1,500 crore, covering road infrastructure, water supply schemes, and higher education infrastructure.
    6. Foundation Stones: He will also lay foundation stones for projects like the improvement of the Chenani-Patnitop-Nashri Section, development of Industrial Estates, and construction of six Government Degree Colleges.
    7. JKCIP Launch: The Prime Minister will launch the ₹1,800 crore JKCIP Project, aiming to improve competitiveness in agriculture and allied sectors.
    8. Project Outreach: This project will be implemented across 90 Blocks in 20 districts, impacting 300,000 households and covering 1.5 million beneficiaries.
    9. International Yoga Day: On Friday, June 21, PM Modi will attend the 10th International Day of Yoga event at SKICC, where he will address the gathering and participate in a CYP Yoga session.
    10. Attendance and Theme: The SKICC event is expected to host 3,000-4,000 attendees. This year’s theme, ‘Yoga for Self and Society,’ emphasizes the dual benefits of yoga for individual and societal well-being.
