Bharat Jodo Yatra 2.0: Ahead of Lok Sabha polls, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is set to undertake ‘Manipur to Mumbai’ Bharat Nyay Yatra starting on 14 January. The 6,200 km yatra cross 14 states and 85 district including Assam, West Bengal, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat will end in Mumbai on 20 March 2024.

Speaking at a press conference, Venugopal announced, “This 6,200 km Yatra will traverse states such as Manipur, Nagaland, Assam, Meghalaya, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and culminate in Maharashtra, utilizing bus as the primary mode of transportation.”

In contrast to the previous Bharat Jodo Yatra, the current Bharat Nyay Yatra will be conducted primarily by bus, with occasional walking stretches, as clarified by Venugopal. Emphasizing the yatra’s objectives, he stated that the name itself, ‘Bharat Nyay Yatra,’ reflects the mission of seeking justice for all—’Sabke liye nyay chahiye.’ The Yatra aims to engage with youth, women, and marginalized communities.
