Moscow: Sergey Lavrov praises India’s foreign policy as an example for the world, commending its respect for other nations and adherence to the UN Charter.

Russia, a steadfast and enduring friend, receives accolades from the Russian Foreign Minister, who not only commends India’s foreign policy as a global example but also voices support for India as a Permanent UNSC Member.

Negotiations and bilateral talks unfolded between External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Moscow on December 27.
Lavrov highlighted the historic and progressive nature of India-Russia ties, emphasizing their shared positions at the UN, SCO, and BRICS, and expressing mutual aspirations for an open and fair international system.

Both Moscow and New Delhi affirm their commitment to multipolarity as a crucial element in maintaining the global balance that has evolved in recent decades. Russia stands in solidarity with countries of the Global South, advocating for the preservation of political and economic sovereignty amid the proliferation of neocolonial practices.
