The upcoming Hyundai Creta features a retained powertrain lineup, including the 115hp 1.5L NA petrol and 1.5L turbo diesel engines, offering manual, CVT, and torque converter transmissions. Additionally, it introduces a new 1.5L turbocharged petrol engine with 160hp, coupled with gearbox choices of 7-speed DCT and iMT.

Hyundai Motor India is gearing up for the launch of the updated Creta on January 16, 2024. The facelifted Creta boasts a fresh design, enhanced dynamics, increased safety features, additional functionalities, new color choices, and more. Bookings are currently open, and prospective buyers can secure their unit with a payment of Rs 25,000 either through a nearby dealership or online.

    • Hyundai will launch the 2024 Creta facelift on January 16, bookings open.
    • It is offered in seven broad trims: E, EX, S, S(O), SX, SX Tech, and SX (O).
    • Engine choices include: a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol, a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, and a 1.5-litre diesel
    • Will continue its rivalry with the Honda Elevate, Volkswagen Taigun and MG Astor.

The 2024 Hyundai Creta facelift is offered in seven broad variants: E, EX, S, S(O), SX, SX Tech, and SX (O). To configure it, you can choose from three powertrain and four transmission options. Here are the variant-wise powertrain options that will be on offer.

Hyundai will offer the 2024 Creta facelift with the 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine, which we have previously seen on the Verna. That said, up here, you can have it with just the 7-speed dual-clutch automatic only. Apart from that, it retains the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine from the current Creta.

    What Will Power It?

While continuing with the same 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol (115 PS/144 Nm) and diesel (115 PS/250 Nm) engines as before, the new Creta will also come with the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol unit (160 PS/253 Nm) from the new Hyundai Verna. Transmission options will continue to be a 6-speed MT, CVT, 7-speed DCT (dual-clutch automatic transmission), and a 6-speed AT.
