Deadly Crash on Lucknow-Agra Expressway: At least 18 people were killed and 19 others injured after the bus they were traveling in collided with another vehicle in Unnao, Uttar Pradesh, today. Among the deceased were three women and one child, according to police.

The double-decker bus was en route from Sitamarhi, Bihar, to Delhi when it rear-ended a milk tanker on the Lucknow-Agra expressway this morning.

The collision was so severe that passengers were flung from the bus, police reported. Images from the scene showed bodies on the ground, twisted metal, shattered glass, and scattered belongings.

“Today at around 5:15 am, a private bus coming from Motihari, Bihar, collided with a milk tanker. Eighteen people have lost their lives, and 19 others are injured in the accident,” said Gaurang Rathi, District Magistrate, Unnao.

The injured have been taken to a hospital for treatment, officials stated.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed sorrow over the tragedy and directed officials to ensure proper care for the injured, according to his office.
