As per the directive of the Government of India, a large-scale civil defence exercise will be carried out on 31st May 2025 in five states, including Gujarat. Following the grand success of Operation Sindoor, this mock drill is being planned as a proactive measure to prepare for any potential enemy attacks. Every district in Gujarat will participate in the drill.
States bordering Pakistan—Gujarat, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Jammu & Kashmir—will be part of this Operation Shield mock drill. Previously, a similar drill was scheduled for 29th May 2025 in Gujarat and some other states and Union Territories, including Jammu & Kashmir.
