Operation Sindoor: Indian Forces Conduct Airstrikes on Terror Bases in Pakistan and PoK
Under “Operation Sindoor,” the Indian Army carried out successful airstrikes targeting terror bases located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). According to initial reports, the Indian Army and Air Force launched the strike at around 1:45 AM, penetrating Pakistani airspace to attack terrorist hideouts. A total of nine terror camps were struck during the operation. Below are the live updates from the official press briefing by the Indian military:
The Foreign Secretary stated that the recent attack in Pahalgam was intended to hinder Jammu and Kashmir’s progress and development. The terrorist organization TRF (The Resistance Front) claimed responsibility for the attack, and the assailants have been identified. The incident has been directly linked to Pakistan, which continues to serve as a haven for terrorists from across the world. Even 15 days after the attack, Pakistan has taken no action against the perpetrators.

Operation Sindoor: Terror Camps Destroyed
The Indian Army has confirmed that the airstrikes were not aimed at Pakistani military assets, but specifically at terrorist infrastructure. Following the strike, the Indian Army tweeted: “Justice served. Jai Hind.” Early reports indicate that the primary targets included camps belonging to Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba. Strikes were carried out using missiles on locations such as Kotli, Bahawalpur, and Muzaffarabad.
Following India’s airstrike, Pakistan violated the ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC), to which the Border Security Force (BSF) responded strongly. As reported by ANI, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was closely monitoring Operation Sindoor in real-time alongside senior officials.
Ceasefire Violation Along LoC
After the Indian airstrikes, Pakistan initiated ceasefire violations along the LoC. The Indian Army is actively retaliating. The Indian military has confirmed the deaths of three Indian civilians due to Pakistani shelling.
