Lok Sabha 2024: Prime Minister Narendra Modi revealed in a television interview on Thursday that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led government, confident of securing a third term, has already prepared a blueprint for its first 100 days in office.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi disclosed that the blueprint, initially designed for 100 days, will be extended to 125 days due to the enthusiasm observed among first-time voters and the youth of India.
Previously, Modi had identified youth, along with women, farmers, and the poor, as key priorities for his government. He emphasized his commitment to involving young people in his development agenda, stating, “I want the involvement of the youth and want them to share their ideas. I will dedicate 25 days specifically to the youth of my country. I am extending the plan from 100 days.”
The blueprint has been shaped by input from over 2 million people across the country.
“In 2014, I had a manifesto for five years. In 2019, I drew some attention to the global picture. In 2024, my thinking is a little big and for the long term. I have been working on it for the last 5 years… two generations of officers must have retired while working on this and many new people have come,” the Prime Minister said.
The Prime Minister, who has set a target of ‘400 paar‘ for the NDA coalition in the Lok Sabha election, has pivoted his campaign around the ‘Viksit Bharat‘ roadmap.
In March, PM Modi held a 12-hour long meeting with his Council of Ministers and brainstormed over a detailed action plan for the next five years.
