Lok Sabha 2024: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in the city on Sunday night to spearhead the BJP’s electoral efforts for its candidates on Monday, according to officials.
Modi was greeted by senior BJP figures, including Manmohan Samal, the president of the party’s Odisha unit, and Aparajita Sarangi, the MP for Bhubaneswar, at the Biju Patnaik International Airport.
During his journey from the airport to Raj Bhavan, Modi was observed displaying the lotus symbol to the crowds lining both sides of the road. Sources suggest that he is likely to visit the Shree Lingaraj temple in the city on Monday morning.
The Prime Minister is slated to deliver speeches at two election rallies in Berhampur and Nabarangpur on Monday.

Sarangi mentioned that Modi will return to Odisha on May 10 for a road show and will deliver another election rally speech in Bolangir on May 11.
Modi’s arrival in the state capital coincided with BJP President J P Nadda’s departure, who had earlier unveiled the party’s manifesto for the upcoming Lok Sabha and assembly elections. These elections are scheduled to take place between May 13 and June 1.
