Lok Sabha 2024: A day after proclaiming in Bihar’s Jamui that BJP-led India “enters the enemy’s home to strike,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi revisited this theme during his address in Rajasthan’s Churu. He reminisced about his last visit to the district on February 26, 2019, coinciding with the Balakot airstrike.

The audience echoed chants of “Modi, Modi, Modi…Ek baar phir se Modi sarkar” as the PM shared his sentiments about that historic day when “new India” demonstrated its resolve, asserting that it was no longer the “weak” nation it had been during the UPA’s tenure.

“The words I spoke in Churu then, I reaffirm today on this sacred soil of warriors. I pledge upon this land that I will not let the nation falter; I will not let the nation stagnate,” he declared. Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the significant progress achieved by India under the BJP-led NDA’s governance over the past decade, portraying it as a precursor to even greater achievements ahead. “Just like in a grand restaurant where appetizers are served before the main course, what Modi has accomplished so far is merely the appetizer – the main course is yet to come,” Modi asserted.

During his second campaign stop in Rajasthan within three days, Modi also took aim at the Congress for its “appeasement politics” and its stance on the Ram Janmabhoomi issue. Reflecting on the outlawing of triple talaq in 2017, Modi encouraged Muslim women and families to recognize this as a significant milestone in safeguarding their dignity and ensuring their rights.

In Churu, for the upcoming elections scheduled for the first phase on April 19, the BJP has nominated Paralympian Devendra Jhajharia, reportedly handpicked by the Prime Minister. Jhajharia’s candidacy reflects the party’s commitment to diverse representation and signifies its focus on promoting individuals with exceptional achievements and contributions to society.
